Corrections
Plans, prices and streaming requirements change. When one of ours goes stale or turns out wrong, the fix is dated here.
How fixes are made
Every Starlink figure is re-read against its source at least every 30 days; the site won’t build with an older one. When a re-check finds a change, or a sentence turns out wrong, we correct the page, move its checked date, and add a line to the log below.
Change log
- Nov 4, 2026 (evening): the Call of Duty and Battlefield 6 post now leads with Ookla’s Q1 2026 US median latency instead of Starlink’s older June 2025 figure, which stays only as Starlink’s own number. Questions that sat on two pages now sit on one: Game Pass cloud hours on the Xbox news item, cancelling DISH on the DISH page, rural gaming and HughesNet on rural options, and the Nintendo Switch on console setup. The first-visit referral popup now shows up a single time per browser, four and a half seconds in, and on phones it is a short panel along the bottom edge.
- Nov 4, 2026: 15 blog posts and 2 news items added, each with a dated source list. Price-history lines that printed a stray dollar sign before a date (“Since $Oct 29”) were fixed, and sentences that matched wording used elsewhere were rewritten in this site’s own words.
- Nov 4, 2026: Starlink prices now come from the national order list as read Nov 3, 2026, for all three Residential tiers; the older address-by-address price levels were dropped. Credit timing now follows Starlink’s referral terms (second monthly invoice) and help center (no payout before 60 days from switch-on). The home-page scoreboard uses Ookla’s Q1 2026 US median instead of Starlink’s June 2025 figure. The fit check became a gaming and TV check (ping, NAT, streaming) without a sky question. The contact page was removed; it had no working channel.
- Nov 3, 2026: site first built. All facts checked on this date.
